I’ve known Andrea for about three years now, again getting to know her through the lens of Youth Director. It’s been fantastic watching her grown in the young woman she is, so full of joy and love. Over the years there are five things I have learned that Andrea loves above all others: Her family, God, friends, dancing and coffee. We took her photos on a busy Thursday evening in Rice Park, downtown Saint Paul. She was fantastic despite all the people staring at her as she posed and laughed with her sister. Thanks for the great night ladies!
Rosie is another one of the amazing youth I’ve gotten to spend the past few years getting to know. When she asked if I could do her Senior Portraits I was thrilled. Rosie has such an amazing energy about her no matter what we’re talking about- it could be Harry Potter, God’s amazing Grace, or the impending craziness of Senior year. She continues to inspire those around her to see the world through different eyes. I’m ever so thankful for the chance to know her. I can’t wait to see where God takes her and the amazing things she’s going to do and discover!
Now for a glimpse into our night (with a cameo appearance from her equally awesome, little sister, Isabel).
This week I had the honor of taking Natalie’s senior portraits. I first met Natalie about three years ago when I began serving at St. Stephanus as Youth Director. One of the first things we did was a bible study about how God makes us unique. Each kid had to choose something that God had gifted them with, something that made them unique, or that made up a large part of who they were as people. Natalie choose “happiness.” I’m here to tell you, that couldn’t be more true. Natalie is an amazing young woman, who continues to inspire and bring joy to those in her life. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for this Girl!
An added bonus was getting to spend time with Natalie’s two sisters and their mom as well! Thanks for a great evening ladies!
You might recognize Maggie from the day her and a couple friends came out to do the Senior Rep shoot. Just like that day, I had a blast shooting Maggie this weekend. She’s full of energy and personality. Have a great senior year Maggie!
Maggie. Diana. Melissa. Laura. Four girls as different as their preference in shoes but all four amazing young ladies. I got to hang out with these girls this afternoon down at the Guthrie and the Mill Ruins Park in Minneapolis. Melissa (you might recognize Melissa from here and here) and Laura both graduated in 2010 and will be heading off to University this fall. Laura and Diana are both Seniors this year. Here are a few preview shots from out session this afternoon. Thank you ladies for a great afternoon!
Here are just a couple more from my great session with Melissa this weekend.
I hope you all are loving the amazing blue of this Kimono as much as I am!
And I just loved this one in the black and white as well as the color I posted on Saturday so I had to share.
And because I can’t resist a little Polaroid Processing….
With snow in the forecast for last night I was a bit nervous waking up this morning, not sure what weather I was going to find, but…God was good. Blue patches of sky, enough clouds to not be too sunny and NO SNOW. I got to spend the morning at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory with Melissa & her mom Joan. We started outdoors in the Japanese Garden and then moved indoors to the Conservatory. Melissa was such a thrill to work with, she didn’t need any direction and she had such a great attitude, even when it started sprinkling outside! Thank you Melissa & Joan for such a wonderful morning, enjoy these teaser images. More to follow this week!
