The McDowell Kids!

Tonight I got to spend some time with one of my soon to be step-sisters, Becky, and her amazing kid. Becky and her husband, Aaron, recently welcomed their twin boys, Hunter and Hayden into the world. It was a blast getting to hang out with them tonight. Enjoy the sneak peek!

It was a long afternoon for everyone. More photos to come later next week. ūüôā

Sara & Jake Maternity Session

Tonight I got to spend some time with two dear friends of mine, Sara and Jake. Their daughter is due on June 11th {we’re going to be birthday buddies!} so we thought we should get together and get some photos before we ran out of time. I can’t wait to meet their daughter and to see how God works wonders in her life.

I love this next one. Sun flare and all.

Melissa {Senior Portraits 5.8.10}

Here are just a couple more from my great session with Melissa this weekend.

I hope you all are loving the amazing blue of this Kimono as much as I am!

And I just loved this one in the black and white as well as the color I posted on Saturday so I had to share.

And because I can’t resist a little Polaroid Processing….

Melissa’s Senior Portraits {Sneak Peak}

With snow in the forecast for last night I was a bit nervous waking up this morning, not sure what weather I was going to find, but…God was good. Blue patches of sky, enough clouds to not be too sunny and NO SNOW. I got to spend the morning at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory with Melissa & her mom Joan. ¬†We started outdoors in the¬†Japanese¬†Garden and then moved indoors to the Conservatory. Melissa was such a thrill to work with, she didn’t need any direction and she had such a great attitude, even when it started sprinkling outside! ¬†Thank you Melissa & Joan for such a wonderful morning, enjoy these teaser images. More to follow this week!

A *Flurry* of excitement!

That’s right *Flurry* as in…S-N-O-W. Boy, living in MN never gets old, not with the constant surprises in weather. The weather gurus are calling for snow tonight. I’m hoping for a light dusting that will look great in photos or nothing at all, thank you very much. ¬†But back to the excitement part of the flurry…. tomorrow I will be shooting Melissa’s senior portraits at Como {one of my all time favorite places in the cities}. ¬†The goal is to shoot in the outdoor Japanese Garden as well as indoor in the conservatory, hopefully we can still get some outdoor shoots in despite the colder temperatures. ¬†I’ll post a sneak peak image later tomorrow so be sure to check back for that, but in the mean time, here’s a photo that I took last summer at the garden on my little point and shoot:

Other exciting things happening soon…maternity shoot next weekend, wedding in June, oh and my future step-sister gave birth to two adorable twin boys this week! May is indeed off to an exciting start!
